We sat down with James Cameron, CPP a few weeks ago to discuss safety and securing celebrities. Of course, this is relevant given the close calls we’ve seen in recent weeks on stages and at venues. First, Will Smith slapping Chris Rock. Then someone got access to Olivia Wilde while she was on the stage at Comicon and more recently, Dave Chapelle was attacked on stage.
The question many have, is how did people have such easy access to major celebrities? That is what we talk about in this episode of a “Time to Head North.”

Cameron says some venues do not have the appropriate security personnel in the first place, which leads to an inability to properly keep stars safe. Other times, security professionals can become complacent and forget their main job is to focus on everything going on in the venue, around the stage, and any and everything close to the celebrity.
